  2. Can I get a little exegesis on all of this Vancouver to Boston business? I'm out of the loop.

  3. AA is making noises about schlepping from the Left Coast back to the Right one. I'll believe it when I see it. Should we open a betting game on this?

  4. Speaking of probabilities, how about this book, on sample spaces of algebraic nature. I lkie this kind of stuff, at $10 it may be worth a try. Any ideas on whether I should part with my dineros?

  5. AI, looks like a good book, but this is coming from someone with hilarious algebraic skill. As for betting, since I'm still in Las Vegas (aka, Lost Wages), I'm probably not the best one to consult when it comes to betting. I visited the Sahara last night, one of the casinos put up during the height of Rat Pack and mob rule in the early 1950s. My brother and I agreed it had definitely seen better years. The aging strippers across the bar chain-smoked and, from the looks of it, propositioned dates from potential clients that had a used car salesman look to them. It was all very interesting.

  8. Grenander is/was a topnotch probabilist, AI. But I do not know this book. Given it's 1963 publication date, it must have a nice classical feel to it-- and the price is certainly right.....why not go for it?

  9. Sounds good, AA. Keep me informed.

And I'm glad to see someone else offering a more experienced take on AI's latest potential algebra book. Ten bucks? Hell, just go for it.
