the coda: "John McCain was involved in planning and carrying out these confrontations in order to gain the right to worship in our cells. He knew what we were risking. At sundown, on March 19, they came, first to McCain’s cell, then to ours. A total of 36 of us were taken, at gunpoint, out of the cells. Outside our hands were tied, then our elbows tied behind our back, and we were blindfolded. We did not know what was about to happen, but I am certain that none of us thought we were being taken to a hotel to have a party with Vietnamese girls. To our relief, we were taken to a camp where we were put in solitary confinement for the next seven months.

I may not agree with John McCain on some policies. However, I will go to my grave remembering the American officer who helped organize men to defy an enemy who wish to deprive us of religious observance. Even today I cannot hear “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” without tears, as I am still moved by the courage of the singers and the leadership of John McCain. "

That was John McCain's biggest moment, and no one is gonna take that from him. But what has he done lately --say, in the past 15-20 years, besides that one thing about supporting the surge in Iraq?

At any rate, looks like McCain had a pretty solid night tonight. Huckaboom had a mini-boom in the South, and Mitt a mini-bust, except for some pockets here and there. The bigger picture, though, is that there is almost no way McCain can win in the Fall. His moment of glory is in the past.

Steyn simply repeats what I said. Do you think I can bum a VCP from him?

Good form, McCain. Good form.

Forget the gaseous platitudes: in Dem terms, their choice on Super Duper Tuesday was deciding which candidate was Super Duper and which was merely Super. Over on the GOP side, it was a choice between Weak & Divisive or Weaker & Unacceptable. Doesn't bode well for November.

Steyn is just sore that his flipflopper was beaten by the guy he calls a flipflopper.

The dems have two weak candidates. Hillary has so many egatives that the entirety of Western Masculinity agrees with Bill's getting a blowjob from Monica. Obama's voting record is so liberal that Teddy calls him from time to time to tell him he's voting like a cartoon.

Gimme a break. If the Repubs were dying to lose in November, they would have gone with Romney. The SOutherners are right when they say that northerners aren't real conservatives and Mittcare in Massachusetts is an example.
