Mavericky, in a nutshell
Not McCain. Everything with him is just his personal gut, principle-free, just an instinct, an impulse, which often takes him in wildly contradictory places (but he's always haughty about the moral superiority of his decisions).
For example, he's pro-drilling... but not in ANWR. Um, why? He's forever undercutting himself with unexplained hedges and caveats.
He's pro-business... Kinda. Except when he's making his distaste for anyone working in the private sector "for profit not patriotism" so glaringly evident.
He wants to lower taxes. Sorta. Sometimes. Maybe. In election years.
We must regard Obama as suspect because of his association with the terrorist Bill Ayers... but it's racist to mention his membership in Jeremiah Wright's Church of Hate.

Rubber bullets
In another era, the mainstream media might have seen it as their duty to probe deeply and reveal to the public as much about Obama as they could. But the days of a fiercely independent, disinterested, tough-but-fair press are over. Too many American journalists have become partisans, propagandists, and lackeys.
In another era – say, four years ago — independent political groups would have focused the public’s attention on such issues. One reason that did not happen this time: restrictions on political speech — gussied up as “campaign-finance reform” and championed by none other than John McCain.
Those who helped the Swift Boat Veterans tell their tales about serving under John Kerry’s command were warned by their lawyers that it would cost them more than just money if they were responsible for ads questioning Obama’s fitness for office. They’d be served subpoenas and find themselves confronting hostile congressional committees. They might suffer other forms of harassment as well.
Of course, McCain himself could have forced this debate into the public square. But he was either unwilling or unable to do what needed to be done. Though a military man by breeding and training, as a candidate he shot rubber bullets and pulled his punches.

Con Obama alla Casa Bianca Al Qaeda forse è più contenta. So it's possible to tell the truth somewhere in the West? Shock. Racism.

The Counts as of around Midnight, EST
OBAMA: 50,937,491
MCCAIN: 47,144,053
In terms of popular vote, this was a close election. Location, location, location...
Electoral College is a Strong Win for Obama. Not a "Landslide", but sure enough to bury McCain.
That's All, Folks!

Some Thoughts from a Neocon
[NRO] David Kahane's amanuensis:
1) We got this the old-fashioned way: we earned it. The other side took the fight to us, and we never took the fight to the other side, except coyly and obliquely...... "Honorable campaigns" are for losers.
2) Where was Bush? Once again, and right to the bitter end, he let his passion for "loyalty" supersede what was stragetically right for the party, not to mention what was best for the country. I think his reputation has nowhere to go but down; yes, he got one big thing right, but he got everything else wrong. Enough of this family in our country's politics!
3) Good riddance to Liddy Dole, the woman who gave us the national drinking age of 21 and a host of sozzled underage college students. She won't be missed.
4) Hillary comes out smelling like a rose, plus unbloodied. She and Bill are already scoping out 2012.
5) Time to clean house. McCain should have been president in 2000, not in 2008. No more "it's my turn" for the last loser.
.........
7) One upside: McCain/Feingold is now dead, as is public financing. Talk about being hoist with your own petard!
..................
10) Age matters. McCain ran an "honorable campaign" because he never really understood in his heart that the other guy had no intention of doing so; he didn't "get" Obama's generation, or Axelrod's.. Obama would lie about public financing, "oppose" gay marriage but also oppose Prop. 8 and never see it as morally contradictory. The world that McCain understood and operated in is vanishing, and tonight is visible evidence
.................................................
12) Understand, once and for all, that the old media is part of the Democratic Party now. Ignore it. ...... Don't play by their rules: make our own.

The specter of Roosevelt boomed out in reply, "I fear it is even worse:
Where an almost-Blessing has succored this land, now there follows an almost-Curse,
A Biblical curse from Him with Whom we find ourselves at odds,
And chastens the almost-Chosen folk that whored after foreign gods.
I fear that the land will expectorate us, like the heathen who lived here before us,
And we will die out like the Romans of old, or the dodo and brontosaurus.
We have builded an idol offensive to God as the Israelites' Golden Calf,
But stupider still, and with poorer excuse, and more obnoxious by half.
We have named the idol 'Inclusiveness', but forgot what inclusion entails:
The nations are drops of the bucket, and specks of small dust on the scales.
We included the remnant that left its past to rot on a distant strand,
And made them an almost-Chosen folk for an almost-Chosen land,
That was the source of our Blessing, but today the source of our Cuss
Is the foolish idea that the rest of the world is exactly the same as us.
We never have done stupider things in the past than were done by this President George,
And the very same God who sustained us so long has sent us instead a scourge
In the form of Barack Obama, a malevolent fellow with smarts,
Who took our measure with malice and gazed too deeply into our hearts.
We hail him the God of Inclusiveness, this self-promoting know-it-all,
The way Moctezuma mistook Cortes for the deity Quetzalcoatl!
The Aztecs invited their conqueror in, and that put an end to their drama,
And tomorrow, America does the same thing by electing Barack Obama.
Generations to come (if any there are) will condemn us for losing the scrimmage,
And we've no one to blame but ourselves for the sin of adoring our own silly image."

Taqqiya slip.
After Tuesday, these will come faster till finally they are not slips but policy. W will do his best to stabilize the situation, but on the black day in history when Obama ascends the throne of Caligula, dug up and brought special from Rome, the Russians will come on like wild horses and the rest will too, from Iran to Pakistan and we'll see Biden was right. Obama will surrender before the whole world. Only one thing. Biden is wrong that this will be contrary to anyone's will. Anyone voting for Obama, and Rasmussen is at 51% now, is explicitly in favor of a surrender on essentially all fronts (ok, excepting the war against coal plants and institutional racism as expressed by the lack of Kwa'äanzå in the Constitution). Versailles, Ruling Citadel of Planet Pepe

"Versailles" represents the "Elite' who, whether justified by Birthright, or Divine mandate, or History, or the Dialectic, or Race, or Allah, or a thousand other myths, claim to be the Class that should, and must, have unquestioned command over the benighted masses. This Aristocracy has mortal loathing for the productive, self-sufficient, moral minded, stinking bourgeoisie, and those Kulacky peasants who aspire to that awful and declasse' middle class.
It has profound affinity for all creeds and ideologies that sunder mankind into an "elite" Vanguard and collectives/tribes/classes ruled by the "wisdom" of that Vanguard.
It has an even more profound antipathy to any real democracy. Any one in which it is the people who govern the government, and not an Aristocratic class that uses the government as the means to subjugate the people. Any one in which it is the people who possess liberty and rights which are theirs intrinsically, and not "privileges" granted by the "kindness" of the local Aristos. A people who have Life, Liberty, and their right to Pursue Happiness as naturally as "Versailles" has arrogance, decadence, and the totalitarian lust.
In short: To "What is Versailles?" We can answer thus:
Planet Pepe IS Versailles, and Le Pew is its Prophet.

A girl stoned to death in Somalia this week was 13 years old. Aisha Ibrahim Duhulow was accused of adultery, but sources told Amnesty International that she had in fact been raped by three men, and had attempted to report this rape to the al-Shabab militia who control Kismayo. It was this act that resulted in her being accused of adultery and detained. None of men she accused of rape were arrested.'

From the comments section: Who cares? The world will be better soon. Once Obama is elected we will form a new national security unit full of young citizens who will bring real change to America. Soon the world will see the power of the Obama nation and the new Democratic/Labor Party. Long Live Barak Obama.

Pepe the Dhimmi Green: "Question:
Are Muslims permitted to lie?
Summary Answer:
Muslim scholars teach us that Muslims should be truthful to each other.
There are two forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, taqiyya and kitman. One of those circumstances is to gain the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
Thus, to understand. See Quran, Sura(16:106),Sura (3:28),Sura (40:28),Sura (2:225), Sura (66:2) See Bukhari(52:269),Bukhari (49:857),Bukhari (84:64-65),Bukhari (52:271)
These are codified in Islamic Law. See Reliance of the Traveler (p. 746) - "[it is] obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory... Whether the purpose is war, settling a disagreement, or gaining the sympathy of a victim legally entitled to retaliate... it is not unlawful to lie when any of these aims can only be attained through lying. But it is religiously precautionary in all cases to employ words that give a misleading impression..."
Pepe the Vichy Black:
"in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

Obama has erroneously been called a Muslim and an Arab. But Arabs say they can relate to him more than to McCain because of Obama's Arabic name and his father's Muslim roots. "I think he'll be more gentle than Bush or McCain. Due to his Islamic origins, he'll probably be more sympathetic to us." You betcha.
