Behind all the blather is a guy who [a] inherited his wealth from his father and frankly has had to produce nothing in his life. [b] was fully participant in the government-corporate nexus that melted away this nation's economic wealth the last two decades. He is very comfortable with big government and DC "management" of society. [c] His "greatest" contribution to functional policy was to inspire and give aid and comfort to Obamakles' vision of a Socialized system of health care that could "fundamentally transform this nation". [d] As far as foreign policy goes, he has approached it with the spirit of the Massachusetts governorship he ran "Hey, you guys are stronger than me. Let's make a deal". Exactly what we don't need in the world of menacing shit looming in days ahead of us. [e] His prime assertion of why he should run for the Presidency has consistently been that he is a "better manager" than the opposition. As if the problem with this country is that we just need a more skillful technocrat. [f] His record as a campaigner is that he is brave against the Republican weak, and apologetic before the Democrat strong.
There is nothing rightwing about Romney, except--if that is a criterion-- that he likes his bucks. If he runs he may well do the remarkable and lose. And should he win, he will win with a weaker Congress behind him and with no will or ability whatsoever to undo the horrific expansion of governmental control of the last few years. As for Romneybama care....
Look, if the DC punditry wants to cheer on this country to ruin it is, apparently, their divine right to do so. If they want to call "stupid" those who oppose the coming ruin, it is, apparently, their divine right to do so. It is, apparently, their divine right to make an intellectual virtue of the decision not to survive. And it is my right to damn them to hell for their madness.
Tecumseh. Yes, Romney went to Harvard. And he is very much part of the problem. At best, he represents our Cameron. At worst, he represents our Kerensky. This is something, unfortunately, which I am betting my life on.
Mr Rot warming up to RomneyCare: Massachusetts cannot bar legal immigrants from a state health care program, according to a ruling issued Thursday by the state’s highest court… The ruling said that a 2009 state budget that dropped about 29,000 legal immigrants who had lived in the United States for less than five years from Commonwealth Care... “This decision has significant fiscal impacts for the commonwealth, adding somewhere in the range of $150 million in annual costs to what is already a very challenging budget.”
Ulululululu, says Mr Rot: As much as $4.2 billion or 15 percent of the cash payments in 2010 went to parents filing their 1040 forms without Social Security numbers. Adding fuel to the fire, TIGTA said that “the payment of federal funds through this tax benefit appears to provide an additional incentive for aliens to enter, reside and work in the United States without authorization.

Legal, or Illegal? In fact lotsa illegals are part of the system.... Is Illegal the New Legal?
Ask Mr Rot -- he's da expert. Where is Mr Rot when we need him?
