it's be great if chavez sticks to his opposition to the us admin's disastrous foreign policy, but that isn't the same as supporting censorship!

C'mon. Of course you're right that there is no logical correlation there, but there is a huge correlatioin between those socialist dickheads and shutting down the opposition by whatever means at their disposal, and keeping the opposition shut down.
Just look at Pinochet! As soon as the country was in decent order he opened up enough opposition to indict him.
Name a lefty that did that?
Also, it's pretty clear that a guy that hugs Mugabe (he liked the 'land reform') is a damned dictator.
Why didn't you see that before?

pinochet caved in to international pressure after modifying the constitution in an attempt to gain immunity, jj. this isn't a very good example of a selfless tyrant relinquishing power for the common good.
