Well, Bret and Jermaine are from New Zealand, and they make much hay [surprisingly effective hay] of that in show. But their series is set in New York City, where they play their dubiously talented musical selves as even more dubiously legal immigrants who scrape by dependent on the modest talents of a New Zealand visa office bloke who pretends to be the sort of manager who could land them a gig. Had never heard of them until my sister let me watch a bunch of the first year episodes on DVD when I visited earlier this year [its on HBO, and that kinda limits their potential audience]. Have a great analysis of academic sexual politics in that show, as well :)

When do they burst into flames and kill a planeload of Germans?
Is this how Frenchies look nowadays?
Flight of the Conchords is fine stuff. That was a good episode.
One of the many great programs out of New Zealand (if I'm not mistaken, right?).
