I read Jon Krakauer's Into the Wild while at a Border's one afternoon a couple years ago. The nonfiction story ends when the hero dies of starvation after eating some bad food in the Alaskan outback. It reminds somewhat of that guy who spent a while petting grizzlies up in Alaska, the final footage of him getting mauled to death by Nature.
Watch Out, Penn! Sounds like he really screwed over the parents in this one.

That thing about the California nutso fooling with the bears was pretty sickening. And that was before Werner Herzog got hold of it.
