Much like ancient peoples used a scapegoat, Spitzer and company are going to try to look at the — ahem — deeper social problem that pushed him into screwing and whoring it up a bit.
This is trying to divert the thunder from what was so damning about his actions in the first place: the man was a hypocrite, a vice judge addicted to the vice he thundered against. He was trying to deny everyone, including himself, that he was a male mammal.
Funny how politicians who want Darwin in the school system barely understand his works themselves. What a bunch of weirdos.
