I don't care what political side it comes from, I did like the idea of a $300 million prize to whoever could design a much-much-much more efficient internal combustion engine. But I didn't hear how efficient/MPG it had to achieve before the prize was awarded. We need some numbers, McCain.
I think Mac is talking about a new electrical device, not a new internal combustion engine (the physical limits on those are pretty much reached, after so many scores of years).

The press is ready to pounce on the slightest critique. The dice are rigged.
Trouble is, McCain is merely bringing a limp spaghetti to the fight, while the other side has no compuction.
