He will do neither

Happy about that. I like Pepe. About the librulizm, I would prefer that they half-ass their way through with Clinton retreads and don't fuck up everything too bad. I always thought the Clinton derangement syndrome was over the top and the only reason anyone reasonable might read Hitchens. Hillary would have been acceptable to me. Now we will get Hillary with an overcautious neozero at the top anxious to fuck up but acting imperturbable all the time.

Fine. Let them all say he's a genius as lone as he doesn't create a million catastrophes that he really wants.

Amen to that, JJ. For once, I can't disagree with you.

Well, not too much. Remember, the root of much evil was planted just below the surface during the go-go Clinton years: the twin gathering storms of AQ and financial policy gone loco. So, in hindsight, perhaps some of the CDS was over the top (just a tad) -- but Bubba messed up big time in the long run, and it's taken years and years for that to become apparent.

Of course I agree that cutting the military under the 'peace dividend' was an invitation to evildoers (or freedom-fighters as Obama would likely say).

Still, I reckon we know better. He wants more troops in Afgh and Iraq might wind down not-too-badly.

There's hope with guys like Emanuel and Lieberman still important that things won't degenerate as far as if he'd really won his primaries outright or really beat the hell out of Mac.

You think that the margin in the primaries, or the general election really matters here? He'll do whatever he wants. What check or balance is left?

He wants to stay in power. Thats why he's hiring old hands and party enforcers. Not a lot of homo hope bs here.
