A comment, a question, a comment: Her tits need a pic to pay due homage. On what objective evidence was her conviction overturned?? It smells like Casey or Homolka.
Sounds pretty awful if what she says is true. She ought to discuss why the italian court let her go under so much evidence.
As a side issue, who are those elusive injustice-starved liberals clamoring for the release of the guilty just because they are guilty in coulter's interpretation ?
Come up with a better run-down of the evidence. Coulter's is the best short version that I have seen. Your objection is "a side-issue" and it doesn't much interest me.
I don't care much for her blanket accusations, but you're doing a pretty good job of providing another example of her assertion. She provided others.
So, since you ask, what's amanda got to do with mumia?
I'm not debating evidence that I know nothing of. I don't understand the political implication and neither do you.
And it's not irrelevant: Coulter's objective is to contrive this story as a vast let-wing conspiracy. If that's the framework, is there any reason to take for fact her understanding of the evidence?
Charly is spinning like a top, and defending the guilty-as-hell as usual. Knox (and her paramour) got away with murder. And that's the bottom line. Ulululululu, says Charly.
The NYT guy talking about a beautiful girl breathing fresh air is reporting it straight. Uh-huh. This is the Pepe I know and love.
Manuela Comodi, no friend of Knox, implied last week in his [sic] remarks...
Error of fact already. Shit, Charly, make me work a bit.
Agenda: The case of Troy Davis, killed by the state of Georgia last month despite the fact that most of the witnesses in his case...
Should I add in the race tropes or are you bored with your shiny, new, NYT indictment of America (gotten by comically claiming that the charming definition of gringa puta was innocent and given an attempted railroading because she has sex-toys).
Just finished the NYT piece. Saying that it's reported straighter than Coulter's is just wrong.
In fact, it's instructive to see that the Coulter piece is straighter and it's an opinion piece while the NYT article is masquerading as a news article.
The troubling thing that comes out of this thread is that you have more faith in Ann Coulter than in the Italian justice system: you and I only have a superficial understanding of the specifics of the case and shouldn't have a strong opinion.
Just because she'd already been hanged by a mob had this story happened in Laredo is not indication of guilt.
The Italian justice system said guilty once and innocent once. They won't get a chance to vote again, but now it looks like a tie to those of us that deign to count.
As to knowledge of the case, coming from you this is really rich.
Italians on the left say that the courts are all rigged when Berlusconi doesn't get a jail sentence. Italians on the right think the prosecutions are all politics.
Who should I believe? You when you say that the court was wrong first and then right? OK, boss, whatever you say.
Note well that your NYT guy did not discuss the evidence beyond a repetition of an accusation that DNA evidence was no good (avenue #1 since no one doubts "science") and some crap about fingerprints that was dumped in Cutie's first trial.
Coulter gave a lot of very solid evidence; why didn't NYT guy? Because his little girl is in Italy and so he's worried?
We can look for something else, but if that NYT article was good enough for you, I think it's a waste of time to try to hash through this with you.
Heh, but you have trouble with mine too, Tecs. I think you and Charly just like what you agree with.
No, I just have trouble with either (a) non-grammatical English, or (b) illogical thought processes. When both (a) and (b) occur at the same time (as happens more often than not with Charly's prose), my synapses blow a fuse.
Now, about that chick: of course she was convicted correctly the first time. The prosecutors blew it by trying to change the verdict from x years to life -- they just let all the usual OJ-type shysters mess up the conviction, and let a bunch of convicted killers walk free.
What this shows, inter alia, is the superiority of the US system of justice, at least in the non-pinko states: once found guilty of murder, you fry. I'm with Rick Perry on that. Pity he's a pinko, otherwise. Like Mr Rot.
tecs - is your belief in the superiority of the US justice system shaken at all by the dozen or so innocent people on death row in Illinois that were freed due to the actions of a few 1st year law students ?
La police, la policia, la guardia civil, la maison poulaga. Les polices: les stups + la brigade anti-gang + la mondaine + etc... Capice ? and on the argument, Mr I Can't Stand Side Issues ?
Charly, as you may or may not know, Mr Rot is also known as Mr Straman. If you can figure out why, and why this is relevant to the story, you're making progress.

I didn't follow the story - why do you say no justice ?

How would anyone know that?

You on Mumia's side here?

where's the "it's obama's fault" tag ?

Trouble reading sentences tecs ?
Your sentences? Yes.
Ask roT (English is his first language).
Here's an alternative to Coulter's analysis. And in contrast to Coulter, he has no visible agenda besides reporting the case.
