Sounds like Clarence Thomas Deux...idiotic fabrications in the service of some Versaillean interest. That would be a natural for a Politico rowing merrily Down the River Charly.
I do not believe that there is anything the Obamaklean One would not do for reelection. Nothing. He will make Tricky Dicky look like the choir boy in Mama's Nursery for Gentle Children.
One thing I would bet on is a concerted effort by the MSM to create a third candidacy to split the anti-incumbent vote. Exactly as the Boston Globe worked with Patrick Deval to boost Tim Cahill into an unexpected third candidacy and so allowed Deval to win with a minority of the votes. After all, the Party will see what is in the best interest of The Party Line.
Still, having said all that, in all honesty, why can't Cain raise his level? I mean, how many mulligans does he expect to get? He's been given much more slack than, eg, Palin in 2008 was ever given. And he's made many more gaffes, although he's had much more time than she did to prepare for running.
There is that much he can blame the MSM for -- sure, they're out to get him, it's tautological. But, but, c'mon, how about doing some homework, and not just winging it, day in and day out?
You mean why doesn't he do more than Obama does? Maybe he could use a telemprompter.
He is raw, but I trust his ability to grow in the way of presenting things. The problem is he doesn't have much time, and the other problem is he faces an implacable enemy in the Left who will do its best to crush him before he can genuinely take flight. They want Romney, who smells srong of Eau de McCain, and they will work hard to make sure he's "our guy". Then it will be Dole all over again.
But, getting back to Cain: yes, he's "raw". Still, if he had been elected to something--anything--before running for the big enchilada woulda helped smooth the edges, and provided some needed depth. Also, he could have stopped for a few minutes now and then and think things out a bit when it comes to foreign affairs. Eg, his "right of return", "terrorists at Gitmo", and now "China nukes" answers to legitimate questions he was asked were sub-par. If he's a natural, he should be able to learn from such rookie mistakes, and raise his game (Palin simply did not have time to do that in that 2-month compressed frame she found herself in in 2008). But he has to do it quickly, or this will be wearing thin.
Even if you don't like the commentator, check out the footage of Cain fighting the allegations even when interviewed by an over-sympathetic Krauthammer (not to mention his mastery of foreign policy). You guys aren't losing much.

We knew this was coming, didn't we? It's going to be like this, all the way till next November. Oh, joy.
Yup..When Cain started to rise in the polls he himself said that he was "waiting for that High Tech lynching".
It was a'rovin, for sure.

Yup. Another straw in the wind: WaPo's preemptive attack on Rubio. Nip 'em in the bud, eh?

A doleful scenario, indeed.

The river chuck is now doling out cash, Michael Jackson-style. This is good.
Les clowns se dévorent entre eux.
Nah, that's the revolutionists.
A third one! Slick Hermie hornier than Clinton.
Michelle jumps in the fray. Why aren't there ever stories of this kinda babe sexually harassing men?
