Hey, those fir trees are from Bavaria, which is ways off Vienna. But the pic is beautiful, and the spirit is there.

Yeah, the pic is Bavaria. Focused on Wien as the choir was from there. Couldn't find a landscape like that in Vienna, I don't think.
In Portugal heard "O Tannenbaum" before ever hear "O Christmas Tree". It, like "Stille Nacht/Silent Night", I'll always think of in the German versions.

That's right. I also think my first contact with Deutsch was through Tannenbaum and Stille Nacht, sung at Christmastime. I could guess perhaps 1 word in 10 at first, but the sentiment was pretty clear. And yes, I also think of these two songs as needing to be sung in German.
