What a pathetic sense of history. Have you already forgotten the purple ink stained fingers of election day? Who made that possible? Who gave power to the people in the Midle East? Who introduced the possibility of Democracy in the Middle East? Who showed that tyrants can fall and people can rise? The U.S. introduced democracy and all it's destabilizing power. The process has been messy, and the results not perfect, but that's the nature of real change. Rather than 'irrelevant', I would suggest that U.S. activities in the region have made the protests a possibility.

The process is not complete but your arrogance leads you to draw conclusions way too soon. History is still being written, for the U.S. and the protesters.; 2/20/2011 1:58 PM
