Puppet embracing pragmatism

Vichy is back to baying for joy" Shocka. Imagine Petain's glee if Moscow had fallen in 1942, and Roosevelt had "pragmatically" accomodated the wishes of the German-American Bundt. That there, buckos, is Le Pew's present glee.

the rats are leaving the sinking ideological ship. For this we are gleeful.
I think you should send a pair of knee pads to your puppet for good measure. You could even be truly charitable and throw in the package a tube of KY.

Because you imagine him to be the sort of rat who would rather join Vichy rather than die fighting? You may or may not be right about Karzai, but you are dead to rights about yourself.

Karzai has been delighted to blow anyone that would maintain him in power - the winds are now turning but he's still doing what he does best.

Compared to others in the region, Karzai has a pretty stiff spine -- and is one of the few honest men there we can count on (well, up to a point). But he must sense the wind is shifting, and, understandably, he doesn't like the prospect of being left out there, twisting slowly in the wind, with the head-hackers baying for blood, not far away -- the way those erstwhile US allies in Indochina were left at the tender mercies of the commies back in 1975, when a Democratic Congress cut them at the knees. But of course, the wet dream of all pinkos ever since has been to have a replay of the helicopters taking off from the roof of the US Embassy in Saigon.

Remember when Le Pew once claimed not to be against the war against IM, that he was OK with Afghanistan and it was just the Iraqui 'sideshow' he was against? It was all just the poseur's "ironie". Or, to put it less politely, a bloody lie.
Now he cheeers for Islam Militant, and scorns all those who fought against it. Karzai has more courage in his left pinky than Le Pew has in every part of his being. He certainly has shown far more bravery than De Gaulle ever did. The Frogs croak, what else is new?

Or your shiites "allies" after the gulf war?

In aa's bichromatic world, there are two possible positions: cheerleader for the forces that support america ' or member of the evildoers.
Karzai is an opportunist who will get the same treatment as Najibullah. But that doesn't mean Omar shouldn't also be separated from his testicles. Duh.

Pepe: There is a world of difference between Vietnam 1975 and Gulf 1991. We had a written commitment to defend South Vietnam (and Cambodia, and Laos) against commie aggression -- you must have heard of the Paris Accords, yes? On the other hand, we had some gentlemen agreements with the Iraqi Shiites (and the Kurds) during the Gulf War -- yes, and it was a grave mistake that Papa Bush broke his word -- but that's not in the same league as the pinkos in Congress breaking a solemn, written defense treaty with a sovereign country, and handing said country (and two of its neighbors) on a silver platter to your buddies, the commies, who, of course, took an absolutely bloody revenge against those who trusted our word. But that's how perfidious Vichy operates, through the ages.

Bottom line for me is that here is the software bundle that we get when we buy the cheapshit Dell Obama:

1) Medvedev-Putin in Georgia, Venezuela, Cuba

2) Karzai and the Iraqis talking nicey to headhackers 'just in case' while suicide bombings rise in Baghdad

3) Hamas going crazy in Gaza

4) The unions here licking their chops

5) Iran get their way

Anything else to add? Oh yeah, Hope. That's our method here. Hope.

Any evidence of bravery on your part Mr armchair warrior?

You are right - technically it is different.

written defense treaty with a sovereign country, and handing said country (and two of its neighbors) on a silver platter to your buddies, the commies, who, of course, took an absolutely bloody revenge against those who trusted our word.

right. a world of difference.

But when I squint my eyes enough I sometimes see a distant, vague ressemblence. Ain't that crazy ?
