Hitch Vacation in Gitmo
I haven't had a chance to read this article in its entirety, but thought I'd pass along this experiment. The Brits have always been fond of empirical research. At least since Isaac Newton and David Hume came onto the scene...
(pics are to provide empirical symbolism; to demonstrate at least)

welcome back mft, but you are about a week behind. i think the consensus is that hitchens has been paid off by the forces of evil. most experts now agree that waterboarding is a truly enjoyable activity suitable for the entire family and that those that suggest otherwise do it with the purpose of aiding and abetting the enemy.
Uh, no, that is the sort of "consensus" only a Le Pew could manufacture.
The non-Le Pewen consensus was more akin to:
"Silly Hitchens, he had to try it to know waterboarding would feel like torture? Torture it is, and was, and better to torture Khalid than to have his plans for mass murder go forward".
So the usual split on these boards. Pepe yet to have met an Islamic Militant he'd rather see dead than a Ricain. And Ricains who, rather rationally, would rather see the exact opposite.
Le Pew banks a lot on Versaille's dhimming gloire to keep him safe and comfortably ensconced in the bloodstruggle to come.
He would sell our heads for his pottage. We'd rather clobber the heads of those he would sell to, and if somebody's head must be sold to them we'd rather Le Pew sell his own.
I thought it was a pretty good article, Pepe. Thanks for the welcome back.
Pepe, Vanity Fair does some damn good work.
The Hitch needs to stick to single malt, instead of drinking all that water. Better for the stomach.
