One more zinger: “Senator Obama would rather lose a war in order to win a campaign.” Of course. But Pepe will deny it, while whining it's all unfair, and he's a true patriot. Opera buffa.

Though I'm rather skeptical of polls, this USAToday/Gallup is kind of funny: It has Obama up by 47-44 among registered voters, but McCain up 49-45 among likely voters. What to make of it?
