He might've confronted her with the facts before leading her on and taking revenge. She might in good faith have thought that she was pregnant by him, for example. Or maybe she wasn't so selfish but wanted him really and couldn't think of another way of getting him. Notice that he goes to lengths to justify himself in saying he knew she was selfish from the start and that she got knocked up by a thug or (worse?) a drummer. What's he? Some manager at McDonald's or (worse) a shark attorney like the one he employs? It's just a story, I know, and probably is made up, but it seems inhuman to put the stupid broad in such a jam just because she was dishonest.
If the story is true, the man is a crowing asswipe. If he made it up, what the hell is he trying to tell us about himself? If it is pure fiction, a piece to be included in some story, then I congratulate his success in creating the very model of a modern major crowing asswipe
Perhaps Pepe enjoyed the story so much because the lady who was portrayed as deceitful (and it sounds as though she was) and neurotic happened to be an American Woman. Another case of resentment towards America symbolized through a fictitious woman?

C'mon, Pepe: use that French intellect. Look at it from different angles, not just one.

Take it from me. Pepe would have enjoyed the story every but as much if the chick weren't American. Don't be so base, boys. You give him ammo.
Forgive my baseness, JJ. I have a friend who can't stand American women and would eat this story right up. I thought this might be another case.
