That was a great movie, with a great performance by Yves Montand and Jean-Louis Trintignant. But what does this have to do with the current soap opera?

It's rather entertaining that you call this a great movie: if there ever was a compelling allegorical condemnation of man exploiting man, with all of its marxist undertones, that would be it!

I'm watching Soylent Green for the first time this evening. I've had it on the shelf for a while. Been meaning to get to it.

Movies can be good or bad independent of ideology. And the story of those daredevils driving up and down those mountain roads with TNT in the back of the truck was fascinating. It really impressed me as a kid.
