Am embarassed I didn't know Soros had made his first financial killing from killings in Budapest in WWII. I'd assumed his socialist hatred for things Ricain came out of his shilling for Soviets days. Didn't realize he had his Nattering for Nazis moments. And now he is Merlin to the Duke of PLanet Pepe.

The persecution of these students provides a case study of the two-pronged offensive being carried out today against Western culture. First there are the jihadists, who call for our destruction. Then there are the leftist intellectuals and public figures who defend radical Islamists and work to silence those who criticize them by criminalizing speech and condemning free thinkers as racists.
That just about sums it up. Though the ultimate chutzpah is that both IM and the Left hide behind the skirt of the Free Speech tradition of the West (as embodied in, say, the First Amendment) to carry out their vicious attack against free speech and Western Civ.
Specifically, by his own admission in interviews with 60 Minutes in 1998 and PBS in 1993, Soros collaborated with the Nazis in seizing Jewish property in Budapest in 1944.
Yeah, I remember hearing about that at the time, The guy (Sugar Daddy of the Left, Mr Moneybags for MoveOn and other assorted pinko-Lefty outfits, the guy who was pushing Al Gore in 2000, etc) is a total slime. He started making his pile profiting from that great human misery in Budapest in 1944, right.
Of course, this proves yet again my point: many people become Lefties just to cover up their shitty actions, thereby gaining immunity from like-minded pinko fellow-travellers, and their enablers in the Media. I should write a book about it, but I don't have the time...
