Keeping in mind too that the British are known for their subtlety and understatement. I think of a British firebase being overrun during the Korean War, 50,000 Chinese soldiers swarming in, and the Anglo Radioman says to HQ, "Things are getting a bit sticky down here..." I think I read that history back during our Minnesota days, AA.
