Heartwrenching Story

Did God intend that Emilio be kept alive on a respirator? Can a hospital decide what's 'appropriate' for my next-of-kin?

Of course. And let's hope that if we do, we go in with the moral certainty characteristic of this poor kid's mother and a court to back us up.

Dr. Ross had it right, that each case should be determined individually, and be particular to the familial wishes.
