NRO goes soft and JJ-like

No need to gas the whole town. Don't worry. Be happy. And, predictably, it's all our fault.

In their failure to do so, critics argue, the school’s president and police chief share some measure of responsibility for the carnage and deserve to lose their jobs. This is preposterous.

This is ridiculous. Ann Coulter was right: NR has been taken over by Girlie Men, who now channel -- of all people -- our one and only, JJ. If William F. Buckley were not still alive, he would be spinning in his grave.

I say -- tar and feather the Pres and Police Chief of VT. When men were men, they woulda done something when a despearado came to town with guns ablazing. And, if the sheriff screwed up and dropped the ball, the good denizens woulda known what to do with dem bums -- not the cuddly smoochie smoochie, I feel your pain, don't worry be happy, Alan Alda-NRO-JJ mode.

Right-o, Saddam ole buddy! Someone done did a misdeed in Dodge so it's time to gas the mothers all of 'em!

Actually, I am coming a bit to your point of view, AI, now that I know a little more of what happened that day. Yeh, those guys need to be fired for not evacuating the campus.

But MFT was the one really hit the nail on the head. Seems that VT was so completely ovinized that there was little around there to resist.

No Todd Beamers.

You got it, buster.

Unfortunately, sometimes it takes an event (putting it mildly) of this magnitude to alter our human instincts as to what to do the next time. Still, 32 people — almost three dozen — executed before the dipshit was neutralized. The VT cops suck. But the student and faculty critics should also look in the mirror.

The University of North Dakota held a candlelight vigil for VT this evening. The ND governor also issued a day of mourning. Rest in peace for those who had their dreams and lives cut short.

RiP, yes.

One more thought while we doing the post-mortem to all this: How come VT admitted this dipshit in the first place, and how come he made it to Senior without flunking along the way? From listening to him, he sounded like a total moron -- incoherent and stupid, on top of being raving, stark mad. I think it speaks volumes as to teh quality of VT -- before this, I thought of it as a pretty good school, academically. After seeing how low they can stoop in their admissions and retention policies (not to say, their abysmal security procedures), I would not recommend this place to anyone.

He was an English major, AI. WTF do you expect?

JJ has a point.

As a minimum requirement to major in a language -- don't you need to be able to speak (more or less) in that language? JJ, stop diggin in trying to defend VT!

You're right, AISheenan. Bring on the Spectre!

His ramblings were not only a result of post-post-modern literary criticism, but a result of his superficial understanding of the often convoluted post-post-modern literary style.
