Just got a text from Pepe. As of now they are in Mobile and headed to Atlanta where they have family.

How a bunch of commies came from France to infiltrate the South I will never know.

Mr roT said...: Good idea to connect the related posts. As to the storm, for it to pass just to the west of NO is bad news for NO. The storm's counterclockwise rotation puts most of its rain (and other violence) on its east as that side of the airmass has spent more time (recently) over warm water. It does seem to me that it could be worse if the eye were a little less to the west, putting NO nearer the eyewall and other nightmarish stuff, but likely this will be goddamned bad enough.; 8/31/2008 4:45 PM
