I have listened to Glenn Beck for a long time. My most memorable thing Glenn has ever done on the radio was when he said that he was going to broadcast an abortion over the air. It at first made me sick.... How could he do that that was terrible, to listen to an abortion on the radio... AHHHHHH. I wasn't the only one. Thousands of people called their local radio stations saying the same thing. He let the callers all week call and talk of this upcoming "murder" that would be broadcast till they built themselves into quite frenzy. Louder and louder the callers called telling of their discomfort, disgust, and actual anger for the upcoming radio abortion. You could actually feel the tension over the radio.

There were even a few radio stations that canceled his broadcast, and a few that just canceled the hour of the broadcast that the abortion was to be aired because of their discomfort with the subject matter.

I was lucky that day; I had the morning off to go to the VA so I got a chance to listen to this episode of radio genius live. I had a chill up my back trying to decide if I would actually listen, which is the same chill that have now retelling this story. All morning I listened, almost in tears, trying to decide whether I could do the unthinkable thing, listen to a death of an unborn baby. The time had come; will I turn off the radio???? Would I do it…….. No I wanted to hear what happened at the abortion clinic just like it has happened for the tens of millions of times since Roe V Wade made it legal. Tick, tick, tick, the time drew closer and Glenn Beck warned all of us what we were about to hear, hear it comes, then Glenn Beck stopped and said something like what do you think I am stupid; I am not going to broadcast an abortion on the radio…. I sat there in the parking lot of the VA stunned.

I then realized what Glenn had just done for me in this brilliant “war of the worlds” radio moment and that was make me think and rethink and rethink my position on abortion. I was pro choice, kind of, but I never really thought about it. It was an issue that I never brought up to the forefront like Glenn Beck did in that radio moment. Glenn Beck gave me that radio slap in the face that I needed on this issue. I am now proudly pro life because of Glenn because he made me think….

That is what Glenn Beck does on a daily basis. He makes you think. Use that brain from time to time. That is why people listen and watch him. I listen to him on the radio, watched him at CNN, and DVR him daily now on FOX. Sometimes he goes overboard on his theatrics but there always seems to be a reason. Maybe that is why the left hates him so. Glenn doesn’t let you live that mundane, not really caring about issues, life anymore. He reaches out there and slaps you daily in the face yelling THINK, THINK, THINK. May GOD bless you Glenn Beck; you are my hero, and the number one refounder of our country.
