yet another petard mouille

The key thing in this story somewhat reminiscent of Padilla/Moussaoui hype is the distinction between intent and means. Yet another bunch of happless losers fall in the justice dept's boogeyman machine.

The petard was rather sec for this Swede. Yet another invention of the "bogeyman machine"? Yeah, sure.

You are slightly off topic here: I thought we were talking about the Miami/Chicago wannabe-terrorists.

These stories are multiplying it seems: padilla's crime, as I understand it, was to google dirty bombs ; you already know what i think of moussaoui. and now, these 7 idiots with big ideas of revisiting 911 but armed with little more than cuticle removers. The street corner dope dealer, le menu fretin in short.

I think these stories are perfectly symbolic of the "war on terror" for which you are mobilizing all of your considerable resources.

An explanation of shifting tactics in the WOT -- that's shorthand for the war the Liberals have chosen to sit out and pout (to be charitable about it), letting others fight to save their asses.

doesn't it bother you that Orlet offers essentially no examples besides the canadian 17 to bolster his theory?

save our asses from Saddam's arsenal of bug spray?
