Interesting take...

“We are pretty pissed off about it,” says one confidant. “She messed up, making it harder for other candidates to speak up. Taking on Perry on this front, with serious arguments, could have been a long and very successful line of attack. She went a step too far and embarrassed the field. She polluted the issue.”
Stalking horse or fucktard?

Wanna be BIG BROTHER?

WANTED BY THE FBI
Talented Professionals to Serve the Nation

The government FBI link. Notice how the photo from their page looks so, ah, fun and stress free.

And this on the heels after watching "Burn After Reading" a couple nights ago. It's the Coen brothers latest flick, and it's worthwhile, at least worth renting. The film demonstrates how crucial analysts in the CIA/NSA/FBI are politically fucked over (either by a change in administration, or by Mormons who are in a higher managerial position), and invariably turn bonkers on society. In another vein, it's a story about how one misinterpretation piled upon another misunderstanding piled on another misinterpretation is incapable of being unraveled due to langauge (and frontal lobe) limits of many. It also has a hilarious BIG BROTHER element in it throughout, certainly a Grand March of Human Absurdity.

The Pugilist's Gambit

Mikey Tyson would have to have been even more ferocious in getting those KOs. His biatch of a Queen would have been all skank in 4 rounds.

Leningrad Returns...

If massive social misery was necessary for Dostoevsky and Chekhov to write such wonderful works on the human condition, then Putin is inadvertantly making sure that literary tradition won't die.

The link to this story is that of what happened in Moscow, but I just saw a story this Sunday morning about Putin's Riot Cops beating down Kasparov and his party in St. Petersburg.
Now this photo, a Frenchie applauding Putin in his all-black suit. Figures.
