A GOP Divided Cannot Stand

Erick RedNeck .................................................................. Between the Tea Party and the M's and B's is an abyss that can no longer be spanned. For a quarter century the leadership of the GOP has consistently let languish, worse, downright betrayed, the principles and concerns which guide and motivate its body. Versailles has enjoyed its long sucker punching of the American right. But there is no more time for this shit. The GOP regains its lost integrity, or it dies. That simple, and that immediate. "Put bluntly, Republicans voted to do exactly what they they accuse the Democrats of doing — shut down businesses by driving up regulatory burdens in an effort to increase taxes...............Republican leaders in Washington ..... have become less and less like the Party of Reagan and more and more like the Party of John Anderson. Limbaugh Rush's Where Tecumseh Fears to Tread

It is true that Gingrich is a Wild Card and Romney is Mr. Consistent. Gingrich, in his Wildness, carried out a spirited defense of the Right, in thought and action, for 15 strong years. He's been a wild and crazy guy since then, but he is still that guy capable of a spirited defense of the Right. Romney, for 30 years, has been Consistently against the Right at every step of the way...except for his right to make money.
Romney "wins"? The GOP is kaput. Should he win the nomination. Whatever you wish to wager on this, I will wager.

Incredulity: "What is happening in American politics is simply astounding. Here is an incumbent President whose approval ratings are rightly dire. He is the most far-left, dangerous and damaging President the US has ever known."

Regret: "So now it looks as if Gingrich may have crashed and burned – which is a pity because, more than any other candidate, he really does get the single most important issue right now -- the threats to the west from both within and without."

Despair: "The question is therefore not just what in heaven’s name has happened to the Republican Party. It is what has happened to America."
