Not much of a thought really: not many muslims identify with khomeiny's brand of islam. as for the others, it isn't a surprise.

Well the sunnis certainly don't. Neither do the wahabis, druzes and other subgroups. And then among the shiites, I would imagine a similar proportion that pay attention to your wacky evangelicals - the conservatives that is. What does your gerbil hole say ?
