Krauthammer's Parabola

I meant Krauthammer's Rainbow. Sorry.

Very well argued. Though, he kind of cherry picks data points in order to nicely fit into his parabola. Eg, where does "He's not teh Jeremiah Wright I knew" speech fit into this? OK, throw the speech under the bus.
(Incidentally, that's why I don't trust statistics and statisticians...)

That said, it's a beautiful theory, most likely even true. BTW: she's pulling an Obama. Precisely. You may adore that (and I don't say I'm displeased with that, at a mundane level), but, on a more global level, I'm distressed to see this is how politics is been played nowadays: all mostly a matter of style (and identity/personality), with no substance (or very little) backing it up.

Always has been like that, AI. That's the problem with democracy, though. The demos are a stupid lot that most of the time vote wrong and when they vote right it's for the wrong reason.

Palin is a star now, but she has promise to be a superstar (i.e. with more substance) later. She is not some damned carreerist overgrown student council president that liked the preening best. She's the real deal and that is what the demos senses correctly.

AA will disagree with me. He thinks the demos votes for the right reason when they are right because he really believes in democracy. Of course he is an idiot and so identifies with some rather feral sorts.

All nice and good, but what happened to my critique of Kraut's cherry-picking his data points? I didn't see you addressing that.
