Spengler predicts landslide

Obama will spend the rest of his life wondering why he rejected the obvious road to victory, that is, choosing Hillary Clinton as his vice presidential nominee. You mean, Columbia and Harvard don't teach this?

The young Alaskan governor, to be sure, hasn't any business running for vice president of the United States with her thin resume. McCain and his people know this perfectly well, and that is precisely why they put her on the ticket. Naahhh, say JJ and AA. Can't be. If Palin is unqualified to be vice president, all the less so is Obama qualified to be president. Proof by reductio ad absurdum.

One human relationship crowds the others out of his life, his marriage to Michelle, a strong, assertive and very angry woman. If Novak's report is accurate, then Michelle's anger will have lost the election for Obama, as Achilles' anger nearly killed the Greek cause in the Trojan War. For the first time in my lifetime...

I am not sure what your take is, AI. Worried that you'll take Spengler's just criticisms of American pop "culture" and turn them into a Mittexhumation.

Bottom line is that McCain did the best thing to get into the WH. Let's hope it works and that it's a landlside like Sp predicts. Sick and tired of hearing from the dems that they was robbed when in fact they keep choosing morons.

I was just making a running commentary on Spengler's article -- no point in particular. Your dwelling on Mitt, though, is lame -- what does it have to do with anything? Do you think any conservative critique of Palin is somehow a symptom of Mitt derangement?

In the meantime, someone is getting sick.

Reminds me of all those local Chicago opinionators bemoaning Hinckley's lack of finishing touch in his gunnery. They also were then sick at the missed opportunity.
A quarter century has not made their frail guts any more robust.
