Tecs, here's a more complete story
It ain't France. Not sure this is too goddamned good, but when the gov't won't regulate immigration and the people are opposed, what's the right way?

Isn't the government elected by the people they're supposed to represent? If so, why the disconnect?
In Italy, there's a lot of disconnect due to inefficiency and corruption in gov't, but there's also trouble around, as hinted in the article, because the EU won't even let Italy handle these things the way it sees fit.
Same in S Texas. The borders are long and the wealth disparity great. Also, business and organized crime on the rich side get a lot of wealth out of illegal immigrants and that keeps the government in the position of just making it look like they're doing everything they can for voters that don't like their culture being diluted or overrun.
One word: Palau.
