I've been reading Defoe's, Robinson Crusoe as of late, and perhaps Crusoe's experience on the southern shores of the Carrib sea (near Trinidad as far as I can tell) can bring some light to bear on JJ's whereabouts.
Crusoe spent a good amount of time, over two decades and five years, domesticating island goats and spending time talking Christian theology with himself, and then Friday.
Perhaps JJ will return this Monday, but then again, like Crusoe, perhaps he is domesticating his own goats in the mountainous regions of ancient Rome while attempting to convert his own friend (whom we'll assume is not Friday, but Monday) with the ways of the philosophy of mathematics.
If he's not back by Monday morning, 2AM, EST, we should assemble an English fleet and Royal marines to look for JJ? Or we can anticipate his return in no less than three decades from 08/28/06?

This is a good question, and quite the guess AI.

This is all very puzzling and troubling indeed.
