the fact that gonzi has the right to fire without cause doesn't mean he has the right to fire for political gain. and, even if he did, we're talking about political damage, not necessarily legal: the fact that the US AG doesn't look ethical is more than enough cause to get rid of him. That's why he is facing a vote of no-confidence, not prosecution or disbarment.

Still, there's such a thing as government accountablilty and balances. What Reno got away with on several counts put her in the middle of US citizens' deaths and an international incident.
