As Karlie boy once said, “Hegel remarks somewhere that all great, world-historical facts and personages occur, as it were, twice. He has forgotten to add: the first time as tragedy, the second as farce.”

Just in case JJ has trouble clicking on things, here is where you sign.

The substance or metaphoric "logic" behind this petition is rich!

So Paris Hilton is Richard Nixon reincarnate? Transmigration strikes again in California! We'll never look at that ho-bag the same way, ever again.

"Drink-driving" is Brtiish English, I think, MFT. The Cali English is here:Mr Schwarzenegger's press secretary, Aaron McLear, said the governor would not become involved in any case "until the individual has exhausted their judicial remedies".

"Their"? I thought that was plural, Mr Spokesman.

Hey, JJ, you finally caught one of those "singular plurals" that drive me nuts? Oh my gosh, I'm gonna have a fainting spell. Where are my salts?

AI, St Jerome disagrees with you and wikipedia. Try again.

Surge, propera, amica mea,
columba mea, formosa mea, et veni:

11 jam enim hiems transiit;
imber abiit, et recessit.

12 Flores apparuerunt in terra nostra;
tempus putationis advenit:
vox turturis audita est in terra nostra;

13 ficus protulit grossos suos;
vineæ florentes dederunt odorem suum.

"Transiit" is a conjugation of "transeo" (which is 1st person for "I go through"). "Transiit" is third. "Transit(us)" is a noun.

OK, then, let's take the Google test, JJ:

238,000 for "sic transit gloria mundi"
17 for "sic transiit gloria mundi"

Hmmmm.... Where's my jeroboam? Here's a possibility:

The google test doesn't work for dead languages any more than wikipedia does. Pay up.

I've a friend who does a pretty damned good Arnie impression. He was going full force with it last evening in the grocer checkout line. Right beside me, it really sounded as though Arnie was endorsing his Humvee because it ran on biodiesel.
