It's your "Liberal" Dems leading the charge on this one, Pepe.

A Dakota Republican legislator tried introducing a statewide smoking ban in NoDak. I and others barraged the Bismarck Tribune with several letters to the editor. I don't even smoke.

yeah - berkeley is full of pseudo-liberals who think of themselves as progressives but who'd gladly burn you to the stake for smoking in the street. The block i used to live in presented a petition to a little old lady who used to smoke in her backyard and we were the only people to refuse to sign. She moved to an ol'folks home. Don't smoke either.

Sounds like we all might be in accord on this one (is this a first?). If asked, I'd encourage individual businesses to go smoke free. But if people wanna suck smoke into their lungs, by all means. And if a business owner wants to allow it in his/her establishment, that's none of my business.

The term "Progressive" used to mean something, but that was back in Teddy Roosevelt's day.
