My Frontier Thesis said...: This man-on-woman violence justified by Islam is happening all throughout Europe. Some European governments think they are being, ah, open-minded, a sentiment that resulted from how Europe treated the Jews in the first half of the 20th century. What European and British officials are only seeming to begin to understand is that they got the wrong pity model. Hopefully all countries can develop criteria for their police departments to identify and properly document these honor killings. This type of legislation should go over just fine with Liberals, though, as it is similar to Hate Crime legislation in the U.S.; 2/12/2008 9:49 AM

Catholicism as a positive force largely depends on who the sitting Pope might be. Today it provides that proverbial breath of fresh air against the sitting archbishop of Canterbury. But c'mon, to say that England wasn't better off in breaking with Rome is, well, much too reductionistic for this heathen.

I'm more into rationalism than Catholic Inquisitions or Protestant witch hunts.; 2/12/2008 2:04 PM
