I'm getting the photos downloaded to the hard drive, and here's one of a modern Mongolian nomadic ger, mft and his gracious host. (In the 'stans they are referred to as yurts, but in Mongolia, they are gers.)
I didn't stay in one (amazingly, we didn't get drunk enough off the vodka to pass out). Although on the north side of Ulaan Bataar is a ger resort entitled Bogdkahn that used to be frequented by communist party leaders. Nowadays, with capitalism in full bloom, the public can rent a ger for a night or week at Bogdkahn. I'll upload two more photos of Bogdkahn.

Neat. Never seen one. I thought you were gonna post more gerls, though.
MFT, did you get to stay in one of those Gers for a while? [unlike JJ, I am too polite to ask about the Gerls]
Never yurts to ask, AA.
