I think my arguments were stronger in my mail, but Hitchens hates religion. I don't.

English law has come a long way from the wer-geld days. Hitchens' polemic against, broadly speaking, religion, but specifically in this article against the archbishop of Canterbury, encourages his former country not to return to those dark, ante-Magna Carta days.

To politicize this a bit further, has Obama (to the hell with Hillary) commented on any of this? Let me know. I'm interested.
