Peacenik Mayor Finkbeiner might not understand how important it is for Marines and soldiers to train with Peace Officers to help Iraqis bring governmental order to their country. It's helped Sam Cook's outfit, and my bro-in-law's as well.

Does Finkbeiner present any damning evidence as to why the Marines shouldn't be in "his" city?

It sounds like the Toledo cops and press are taking the side of the Marines. Excerpt:

Finkbeiner spent much of the twenty minute news conference explaining what he didn't know, and when he didn't know it.

“I don't know when we were first asked,” he says, “were we asked Tuesday or Wednesday of this week?”

Looks like he's got a real handle on Toledo. What a mayor!

Finkbeiner has his head up his ass. At a minimum, I think he should reimburse out of his own pocket the $10K the Marines spent on trudging back-and-forth to Toledo, only to be given the finger. Next, he should run for mayor of Berkeley.

So Finkbeiner is the Vicar of Bray, and the Vicar of Bray is now the head of the Church of England, and Common Law is Sharia, and London City is Londonistan, and.....?

Got it.

Bet no progressive sci fi prognosticator from the last century saw that one coming.
