Tecumseh said...: Mr Rot, are you invoking the Alien and Sedition Acts, or something? Yes, only the President (and the Secretary of State) can conduct foreign policy. If de Mint were to travel to Tegucigalpa and hold talks with the new government there, congratulating them on the ouster of Zelaya -- that would probably violate some law (though lefties have been doing this sort of thing, and much worse for decades, with impunity). But free speech in this country (eg, as expressed in Congress in a speech) is still covered by the First Amendment, I'd hope.; 7/03/2009 6:27 AM
