And, no, Obama hasn’t reset the American relationship with Russia. He was taken for a ride. Maybe his vanity won’t let him admit it. But, believe me, the Russians know they have taken him (and us) for a big ride, indeed.
Wow! This, from an out-and-out pinko rag? Speaking of which, how about Pepe's vanity? Do you think it will let him ever admit the obvious? Naahh.
Yeah, pinko rag and pinko numero uno. Awesome.
In a relative sense. But in absolute terms, it means things are getting worse, no?
Ye shall know the Truth and the truth shall set you free.
OK, less Christian and more explicit.
I am pleased that reasonable pinkos are seeing the obvious here. They sure fucking didn't when W was in, or if they did see that there were reasons for doing what he did, then they kept quiet or rattled the ratshit in their dreadlocks out of political cynicism.
OK, Obama is making a mess. We knew it would be bad, though I am personally surprised it is this bad. A couple months ago it hit me that there's no salvaging these four years possible beyond preventing them becoming eight.
If the pinkos kept their cult of personality game up, then moving Carter II out would be impossible.
I am happy that he's getting hit from his side, from ours it's obvious he'd get hit, even if did things reasonably.
Ace (I think it was) put it best: He's turning into Carter faster than Carter did.
As I recall, Carter wasn't reelected.
Fair enough. But what you seem to (partly) forget is, as that guys said, Carter didn't really become Carter (I mean, the guy we all remember) till oh, about 1979, that is, about 3 years in his term. Before that he made various hashes, but nothing really earth-shattering. In other words, he planted the seeds with his idiocies, but he (and us, of course) didn't reap the bitter fruit till the shit really hit the fan in Iran, the economy went into a tailspin, the Russkies invaded Afghanistan -- the works. But then, it was a matter of hanging in tough for about a year or a year and a half till Ronnie won the election, and started redressing things. This is a different ballgame.
I see what you mean. In his becoming Carter faster than Carter, we'll have more Carter than under Carter, whether he's reelected or not.
Fair enough yourself, but I am not rooting for Obama to be further left; I'm rooting for people to prevent him from acting on his destructive impulses.
And who's gonna do that? The Chicago crowd? Don't make me laugh.
Naomi Klein.
And by the way, you must know that old saying: you can't beat somebody with nobody. Do you see anybody who's somebody on this list?
Yeah, that worries me.
Nobody vs Nobody is a toss-up.
FP: The Iranians taunt us with their open nuclear ambitions and we don't have much to credibly offer in the way of sanctions and so we find ourselves grasping at straws in terms of an international dialogue with them. We are forced to take proven liars at their word because there is no realistic Plan B.
Of course there is no Plan B. We are the ones we have been waiting for, so what could go wrong?
I think the guy at FP is not cynical enough. This is Plan A and it's working fine.
To wit: Nobel.
Ditto. It ist alle in die plannen!
