From a probabilistic point of view, I can now calmly look my students in the eye and know that a non-negligible number of them will now die before their time precisely because of this triumph of pepeanism; even if it were to be an act whose consequences could be limited to the hospitals. But it is a cancer, not a cyst, and now it metastizes.
