Political Correctness? What is it but a cloak for the monsters that would destroy us? The appeasement and self imposed blinders of both the Bush and Obama administrations when it comes to Islam Militant, is unforgiveable. But at least with Bush you could place your money on the bet that he at least meant well for this nation. With Obama, the bet is on his unabashed ill will.

Still, I don't get what you wanted W to say. If it's not too obvious to everyone what the deal is when a guy named Hasan starts shooting, they're in a tiny minority that has willfully blinded itself to the obvious, like very few people can.
Fortunately, these people seem to be concentrated about Ivy League universities and other centers of absolute intellectual fealty to morons and snake-oil salesmen.
That the Army have stupid policies, partly inspired by these morons, is very unfortunate, but self-correcting and rapidly. It is foolish for the guys on base at Ft Hood to be unarmed, but they are. This won't happen again because it is easy enough to allow them to carry their weapons on base.
As to the animals we let into the armed forces and into every aspect of our 'culture' for fear of being poor hosts, now that's a different story, but one that W couldn't have much say in.
We have immigration laws and they're sensible when it comes to the many people that come in the country every year.
Changing them for an incident like this is silly.
Lieberman (duh) is launching an investigation. The Army's chief is still in some strange state of PC euphoria.
