Speaking of which...
More than most Americans, even more than most Democrats, the president is in thrall to the illusion of a skilled, paternalistic government, able to handle the fortunes of car companies, the proper running of banks and insurance companies, the more equitable and cost-effective delivery of health care, and the exact calibration of the world’s climate. Could the new New Deal just get airplane safety right first?

WaPo gets on the bandwagon, in a Dowdish sort of way.
I see the Dowdiness. Women are dopes and if ever right, then for the wrong reason.
They've decided that Obama's incompetent because he's yucky all of a sudden, and the class nerd, instead of seeing him first as incompetent and thus unfit.
Better than nothing. Cheerleaders that eventually figure it out are better than those that never do.
