Dunno about that. New Orleans is far from the Gulf and so might not stink or anything. Of course a good reason to go there is for étouffée and oysters... so the culinary traveler won't go anymore.
This is a rare disaster that earns its name. Also, it will bring more regulation and push energy prices higher.
The volcanos, this oil spill, Obama getting elected and wrecking the governement,... it's all looking biblical to me. Just no goddamned locusts yet.

Bad day for everyone, IMO. Gulf shrimp and oysters are so much better than the rest. What a goddam shame.
It is.... and as far as Nawlins is concerned this could just about kill off any hope for tourism for a bloody while.
