Day at the office. As for html prowess: once you link to a story, you are morally obliged to make sure the link is still functional. If it's not you're supposed to re-link to another source, or take it down. Absent that, the conclusion is crystal-clear: pay. Or add to the tab. The tab.

This problem is clearly your fault. I never would have hit a link from "The Washington Times" back in the days before your bad influences.

It stands to reason that your and DebkAA's sites regularly pull their made-up articles and so this would never happen to anyone but you and he anyway.
