I think Pepe was being flip-ironic. He doesn't really want priests to be rounded up and torn apart barbarically by a mob, but it is his kind of fun to say so and even that it is just.

Same as I like to say about Barney Frank.

On August 28, the Commune assembled a list of names called the "opponents of the revolution," and began mass arrests.
