Whitewater was serious business. That it led to a dumb perjury was Starr and Clinton's fault, but it would never have come up if slick willie had told the truth in the first place instead of trying to outsmart the mere mortals.

Anyway, I am with you that the Lewinsky thing was idiotic antidemocratic special prosecutoring.

But Watergate was then too. The crime there was bullshit but Bernstein and the WaPo decided they wanted to run an election on their own.

I detest Nixon and so what happened to that asshole, I couldn't give a shit about, but it gave still bigger assholes in the media the feeling that they were the ones to decide everything for the stupid masses. Now we have Pravda everywhere. Fortunately they are all going out of business (unless Obama pays them back and pays them a mint now.
