It reminds me of the early bush years when protesters appearing at dubbyah's events were given a similar treatment under the guise of protecting the prez against terrorists. Had to watch for those flower children with explosive vests.

Hmmm, you mean after 911? Or before? Bet ya can't tell the difference, eh?

By the way, this was nowhere near Obama. If he had been trying to plow through a crowd surrounding Obama it might have been a little closer to the inane analogy you were seeking to construct. But, as it is, your analogy is inane and insanely far away from its target.

yeah, after 911. the administration's excuse for pretty much anything. If anyone got mileage out of it, that'd be dubbyah & cie.

Didn't have to be near Obama. I wouldn't let those Palin supporters near a preschool.

Pepe, you made it plain a long time ago that Cartesian logic is foreign to you, but this is beyond rhyme or reason. You seem to glorify in such vile acts, and cheer them on. Does the concept of shame mean anything to you, or being a pinko means, by definition, having no shame?

AA: Yep, that guy in the RedLine must be careful from now on with his McCain button. You never know when he runs into Pepe. And, next time, they won't use just batons and handcuffs.

It's a shame.

ai - i think it is ridiculous to detain palin-shirt wearing people, even if they are fools. Just as much as dubbyah using 911 to shut protesters up. that make sense to you?

So McCain shirt wearing people, even if on a Philly street a thousand miles from Obama, are equivalent to groups threatening the stage where Bush is?
Of course that makes sense to you.
Just like hanging John or Sarah in effigy in LA is a moment of civic celebrity, but if a college student does the same for Obama then it is a Hate Crime.
Of course that makes sense to you.

yes. there is no threat there. just good'ol dissent. But you don't understand the difference between that and terrorism when it applies to your intellectual role model.

Arelcao Akleos said...

Sure, and if 100 or so shouting and screaming McCain supporters were to try and storm Obama's stage, political dissent for sure, you would be egging on the koppers to machine gun them down--all the while giving Honorariums to real terrorists, such as Ayers, who are up there on stage gladhanding it with Obama.
